Client: Seventy EMG (The Skoda Prize)

The Problem
Seventy EMG wanted a website for the launch of India's most prestigious Art Award. The Skoda Prize, billed as India's answer to The Turner Prize, was Seventy EMG's property.

The problem was that there was virtually no time to do the website. The launch was on August 17, 2010.  The finalization of the sponsors took long and the go ahead for the website was received only on August 12.

Seventy EMG approached Pigtail Pundits and hoped that we'd get the website right in the 4 days that were left for the launch.

The Solution
Pigtail Pundits worked off the PowerPoint presentations done by Seventy EMG for the launch, created the architecture, and wrote the copy and executed the entire website in 4 days flat.

On August 17, 2010, the website was unveiled to a packed Press Conference in New Delhi.

Post the launch, with widespread media coverage for The Skoda Prize, the web was full of reports on the art award.

The next task was to get The Skoda Prize on Google Page 1, by cutting through the media reporting clutter. This was imperative as artists looking for The Skoda Prize had to find the website, and download the nomination forms. Again, the deadline of September 30, 2010 for submission of entries was short, so we had to get The Skoda Prize on the Google Page 1 very quickly.

By August 30, the Pigtail Pundits initiated Search and Social Media strategy pushed The Skoda Prize website to Google Page 1, for multiple keywords.

Pigtail Pundits continues to maintain the website and promote The Skoda Prize.

The website was built on Joomla CMS with Newsletter, System, Event Calendar and K2 blog.

The Results

• Built a unique, world-class website in 4 days flat
• Got Google Page 1 ranking for over 10 keywords in under 2 weeks using SEO and social media strategies
